Potential topics:

This call for paper welcomes theoretical, empirical, experimental, and use-case based researches. Both conceptual and empirical works are welcome. Submission of review papers is not encouraged. Paper providing relevant implications for managers are cheered. Papers potentially relevant for the call for papers may regard: 

-Motivations underlying companies’ adoption of immersive technologies and expected outcomes. 

-The importance of complementarity between existing technologies (i.e., AI, Blockchain, Digital Platforms) and immersive technologies. -Barriers to immersive technologies adoption. -Resources, capabilities, and skills explicating immersive technologies integration in companies’ strategies. 

-Strategic implications of digital twins both in predictive maintenance and supply-chain management. 

-Exploration and exploitation of opportunities linked with emerging technologies -Innovative outcomes, and value creation opportunities, that may arouse from immersive technologies adoption and implementation. 

-Business models building blocks affected by immersive technologies. 

-Forms of collaborative innovation empowered by immersive technologies. -Immersive technologies as enablers of brand and product co-creation 

-Immersive technologies and uncommon and innovative communication and branding strategies. -Potential of “industrial” virtual worlds in creative industries 

-Industries more ready and capable to secure benefits from the use of immersive technologies. 

-Cybersecurity threats related to immersive technologies.
